Taqueria IXTLAN Joins Hispanic Chamber Of Comerce-CV

Taqueria Ixtlan has opened their doors in Indio located at 83-233 Indio Blvd., 100 yards before it intersects with Requa St. The restaurant is owned by Alejandro and Norma Estrada who moved here from Los Angeles. Alejandro is originally from Ixtlan,Michoacan, Norma is from the state of Durango and bring with them a flair for preparing Mexican food.

They offer a taqueria style of food which includes sopes, tinga, birria, pozole, cueritos, guaraches, tostadas de Lomo, tostadas de ceviche and a variety of tacos including al pastor. Mexican breakfast is also on the menu.

The Estradas have three children and also prepare fiesta platters. The taqueria is open Monday through Sunday from 8 to 8 and can be reached at 775-3600 for information on their menu or for party platters. Photo: Alejandro Estrada at work using the grill ready to please another customer.
