2nd Annual Putts for Mutts & 19th Hole Celebration announced

Animal Samaritans SPCA will hold its 2nd Annual Putts for Mutts golf and putting tournament on Sunday, December 2. The scramble format charity event will be held at Shadow Mountain Golf Resort in Palm Desert. Registration for golf begins at 11:00am, with a shotgun start beginning at 12:30pm. Desert European Motorcars Ltd. of Rancho Mirage is offering a free Porsche for the first golfer to hit a hole-in-one on its designated hole. Prizes awarded for Closest to the Hole, Closest to the Pin, and Fewest Team Putts. Lunch provided by Jennifer’s Kitchen catering.

The putting tournament is open to unlimited golfers and non-golfers alike; all area putting clubs are encouraged to come. Putters can participate between 10:00am – 2:30pm. No pre-registration is required. The cost is $10 per attempt, with unlimited tries.

The cost to golf is $200 per player, and includes dinner & drinks, live entertainment, golf awards and a raffle drawing at the 19th Hole Awards Celebration. The after-golf event will be held at the nearby (recently remodeled) Biggi Bird Gardens Estate, featuring exotic avian wildlife. The live auction will include trips, and other exciting items. The 19th Hole begins at 5:00pm. The cost to attend, without golf, is $125 per person. Suggested dress is golf apparel or desert casual attire.

Dinner is an international “Taste Fest,” featuring donated entrees from several local restaurants, including: Mario’s Italian, Bangkok 5, Firecliff Restaurant, La Tablita, Fusion One 11, Midori’s Japanese, and dessert from New Leaf Catering.
