Palm Springs Fire Safety Unit – Local 3601 Endorses Jeandron for Assemby

Today, Gary Jeandron announced the endorsement of the Palm Springs Fire Safety Unit – Local 3601 for his campaign for Assembly. The Palm Springs Fire Safety Unit represents the City’s fire fighters and fire engineers.

The Fire Safety Unit praised Jeandron’s experience, saying that his “voice in the legislature will serve us and the other voters in the district well.” The group also cited shared values as one of the key reasons for the endorsement.

Today’s announcement is preceded by endorsements from the Indio Police Officers Association and the National Latino Peace Officers Association, and illustrates Jeandron’s reputation as the choice of public safety advocates.

Gary Jeandron is vying for the seat vacated by termed-out Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia. The 80th Assembly District includes the cities of Indio, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, El Centro, Calexico, La Quinta, Coachella, Brawley, Desert Hot Springs, Blythe, Imperial, Calipatria, Holtville, and Westmorland.

Jeandron’s years of public service include being Police Chief of Palm Springs as well as serving as a member of the School Board for the Palm Springs Unified School District. Jeandron is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and currently resides in Palm Springs with his wife, Vicki.
