El Año del Miedo

Ha terminado un año difícil que trataremos de no recordar. Porque en él se potenciaron las, tal vez lejanas, pesadillas del ébola, del SARS, de la gripe aviar, de la gripe porcina y de la gripe A. El SARS-CoV-2 o Coronavirus trajo las pesadillas a casa, las hizo cercanas, y despertó en nosotros, todo el año, nuestros temores de vulnerabilidad individual, nuestro miedo a la muerte, y nos dejó entonces listos para todo tipo de manipulación global.
“Así nos quieren, callados, encerrados en casa y aterrorizados” denunciaba un editorial periodístico al inicio de la pandemia. Y otro diario agregaba: “Si está metido en casa quince días y apenas ha salido para hacer la compra, usted ha aprendido algo muy importante. Ha aprendido quién manda. La población permanece enclaustrada con una enorme profesionalidad. Somos la población más fácil de tiranizar de la historia de la humanidad”.
¿Será que todo esto haya sido un experimento social? ¿Es que alguien está tratando de usar el miedo como un eficaz medio de control? Con estas preguntas no tratamos de promover el descuido o negar que el virus exista. Sólo ponemos en voz alta lo que muchos piensan.
No en vano, el año 2000, la Fundación Bill y Melinda Gates anunció en el Foro de Davos-Suiza, su aporte de $10 mil millones para la “Década de las Vacunas de la Organización Mundial de la Salud”.
No en vano todos los países del mundo firmaron en el 2005 el “Reglamento Sanitario Internacional,” según el cual la OMS iba a liderar la repuesta a una pandemia.
No en vano, en 2015, el propio Bill Gates anunció en una “charla TED” en Vancouver, Canadá, que la siguiente gran amenaza para la humanidad no sería una guerra sino una pandemia.
No en vano, en 2019, en Nueva York, se realizó el “Evento 201”, organizado por el Centro Johns Hopkins para la Seguridad en la Salud, el Foro Económico Mundial, y la Fundación Bill y Melinda Gates, con el único propósito de simular una pandemia viral global.
Puede que sólo sean coincidencias, hechos aislado sin relación alguna. Pero lo cierto es que nos empujaron al internet, al mundo digital, para librarnos del aislamiento, y con ello multiplicaron las posibilidades de nuestro rastreo y control.
Si esta no es la generación del mayor ensayo de control social de la historia, por lo menos habrá sido la de El Año del Miedo.

 

The Year of Fear

A difficult year has ended that we will try not to remember. Because in it the, perhaps distant, nightmares of Ebola, SARS, avian flu, swine flu and influenza A were enhanced. SARS-CoV-2 or Coronavirus brought nightmares home, made them close, and awakened in us throughout the year our fears of individual vulnerability, our fear of death, and then left us ready for all kinds of global manipulation.
“That’s how they want us, quiet, locked up at home and terrified,” denounced a journalistic editorial at the beginning of the pandemic. And another newspaper added: “If you are at home for a fortnight and have hardly gone out to do the shopping, you have learned something very important. You have learned who’s boss. The population remains cloistered with enormous professionalism. We are the easiest population to tyrannize in the history of mankind.”
Could it be that all this has been a social experiment? Is someone trying to use fear as an effective means of control? With these questions we are not trying to promote carelessness or deny that the virus exists. We only say out loud what many already think.
Not surprisingly, in 2000, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation announced at the Davos-Switzerland Forum, its $10 billion contribution for the “Decade of Vaccines of the World Health Organization.”
Not in vain all the countries of the world signed the “International Health Regulations” in 2005, according to which the WHO was going to lead the response to a pandemic.
Not surprisingly, in 2015, Bill Gates himself announced in a “TED talk” in Vancouver, Canada, that the next great threat to humanity wouldn’t be a war but a pandemic.
Not surprisingly, in 2019, in New York, “Event 201” was held, organized by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, the World Economic Forum, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, with the sole purpose of simulating a global viral pandemic.
They may just be coincidences, isolated events without any relationship. But the truth is that they pushed us to the internet, to the digital world, to free us from isolation, and with this they multiplied the possibilities of our tracking and control.
If this is not the generation of the greatest trial of social control in history, it at least will have been the one of The Year of Fear.
