Profesando Ser Sabios, Se Hicieron Necios

El 1ero de enero, miembros de la Cámara de Representantes encabezada por Nancy Pelosi, Congresista Demócrata de California anunciaron un nuevo paquete de reglas proponiendo un ‘lenguaje inclusivo de género’ que eliminaría del vocabulario de la ley palabras como ‘Madre,’ ‘Padre,’ ‘Hijo,’ ‘Hija,’ ‘esposo,’ esposa,’ entre otras más, reemplazándolas por palabras más genéricas como ‘niño,’ ‘niña,’ y ‘progenitor 1 y 2’ ‘pareja,’ y otras palabras recomendadas.
La palabra ‘Madre’ se deriva del latín mater de donde también proviene la palabra matrix o matríz, aluciendo a la cavidad donde se produce un bebé. Eliminar la palabra Madre del vocabulario lejos de ser inclusivo excluye a la mujer y atina a borrarla de la historia. Si tomamos en cuenta que la Asamblea de California ya se refiere a las embarazadas como “personas embarazadas,” porque insiste en la idea de que también los hombres pueden menstruar y embarazarse, ¿en donde entonces quedan la bióloga, la anatomía, y el sentido común?
Uno podría pensar que la locura terminaría ahí, sin embargo, dos días después, en enero 3 cuando el Congreso se reunió para escoger al vocero de la Cámara para el nuevo término, otorgó al Congresista Demócrata Emanuel Cleaver, un ex pastor de la Iglesia Metodista Unida, el honor de realizar la primera oración del 2021, la cual concluyó de la siguiente manera:
“…lo pedimos en el nombre del Dios monoteísta, Brahma, y “dios” conocido por muchos nombres en muchas diferentes fes. Amen y Awoman.”
La Iglesia Metodista Unida profesa la creencia en la triunidad de Dios: Padre, Hijo, y Espíritu Santo. Entonces, ¿cómo es que un creyente puede concluir una “oración” en el nombre de otros dioses si el fundamento de la fe cristiana es que existe solo un Dios? Y si la palabra “Amen” es una palabra Bíblica Hebrea que significa “así sea,” y no tiene nada que ver con hombre o mujer. ¿Cómo es posible que el deseo de personas como Nancy Pelosi de hacer de la Cámara baja “la más inclusiva de la historia,” elimine todo el sentido común y el raciocinio con tal de salirse con la suya? ¿y como es posible que los demás por temor a ser políticamente incorrectos no dicen nada ni tratan de corregir tal incoherencia?
La respuesta la podemos encontrar en el libro de Romanos cuando el Apóstol Pablo dijo: “…Pues habiendo conocido a Dios, no le glorificaron como a Dios, ni le dieron gracias, sino que se envanecieron en sus razonamientos, y su necio corazón fue entenebrecido. Profesando ser sabios, se hicieron necios…” (Romanos 1:21-22)
Si lo pusiéramos en palabras actuales sería: “queriendo ser “woke” (o queriendo estar al día), se volvieron tontos.”
¿Es este el futuro que pretendemos dejar a nuestros hijos y nietos? ¿Nos quedaremos callados mientras contemplamos no solo la deconstrucción de la familia, sino hasta la desvirtualización del lenguaje? ¿en verdad podemos creer que esto parará ahí? ¡por supuesto que no! Las cosas continuaran empeorando a menos que retomemos nuestra posición y comencemos a alzar la voz, a traer a cuentas a nuestros servidores públicos, y a recordarles que ellos no están ahí para implementar sus ideologías personales, sino para ser nuestra voz, la voz del pueblo y recalcarles que, si no están dispuestos a cumplir ese deber, deben hacerse a un lado porque nuestros hijos y nietos merecen algo mejor.

 

Professing to be Wise, they Became Fools

On January 1, members of the House of Representatives led by Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Congresswoman from California announced a new rule package proposing a ‘gender inclusive language’ that would remove words like ‘Mother,’ ‘Father,’ Son, ‘Daughter, ‘husband,’ ‘wife,’ among others, from the law’s vocabulary’’ replacing them with more “inclusive” words such as ‘child,’ ‘parent 1 and 2,’ ‘partner’ and other recommended words.
The word ‘Mother’ is derived from the Latin word ‘mater’, from which the word ‘matrix’ or womb also comes, alluding to the cavity where a baby is produced. Eliminating the word Mother from the vocabulary, far from being inclusive, excludes women and manages to erase her from history. If we take into account that the California Assembly already refers to pregnant women as “pregnant people,” because it insists on the idea that men can also menstruate and get pregnant, where then are the biology, anatomy, and common sense?
One might think the insanity would end there, however, two days later, when Congress met to choose the speaker of the House for the new term, it awarded Democratic Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, a former pastor of the United Methodist Church, the honor of making the opening prayer of 2021, which concluded as follows:
“…We ask it in the name of the monotheistic God, Brahma, and “god” known by many names in many different faiths. Amen and Awoman.”
The United Methodist Church professes their belief in a triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So how is it that a believer can conclude a “prayer” in the name of other gods if the foundation of the Christian faith is that there is only One God? And if the word “Amen” comes from the Biblical Hebrew word that means “so be it,” which has nothing to do with male or female, how is it possible that the desire of people like Nancy Pelosi to make the lower house “the most inclusive in history,” removes all common sense and reasoning in order to get its way? And how is it possible that others, for fear of being politically incorrect, say nothing or even try to correct such incoherence?
The answer can be found in the book of Romans when the Apostle Paul said: “…because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools…” (Romans 1: 21-22)
If we were to put it in current words it would be something like: “and thinking they were “woke,” they became fools.”
Is this the future we intend to leave to our children and grandchildren? Will we keep quiet while we contemplate not only the deconstruction of the family, but even the de-virtualization of language? Can we really believe this will stop here? of course not! Things will continue to get worse unless we regain our position and begin to speak up making our public servants accountable, and unless we remind them that they are not there to implement their personal ideologies, but to be our voice, the voice of the people and emphasize to them that if they are not willing to fulfill that duty, they must step aside because our children and grandchildren deserve better.
