USCIS Facilitará a Inmigrantes la Recolección de Datos Biométricos a Través de un Servicio Móvil

El Servicio de Ciudadanía e Inmigración de los Estados Unidos actualizó la guía de políticas sobre los servicios de biometría móvil que tiene como objetivo romper las barreras para los solicitantes de beneficios que no pueden asistir a las citas por un tema de salud

Esta mañana el Servicio de Ciudadanía e Inmigración de los Estados Unidos (USCIS) dio a conocer una actualización de la guía de políticas sobre los servicios de biometría móvil con el que esperan “reducir las barreras” a aquellos solicitantes de beneficios que no puedan asistir a las citas en los Centros de Asistencia en Solicitudes a proporcionar datos biométricos requeridos para ciertas solicitudes de beneficios, como por ejemplo, una Green Card.
De acuerdo con USCIS, en dichos centros de atención móviles los inmigrantes podrán proporcionar datos biométricos, como huellas dactilares.
“Se pueden proporcionar servicios para las personas con una discapacidad o un motivo de salud que les impida presentase en persona. En otras circunstancias muy limitadas, USCIS puede, a su exclusivo criterio, proporcionar servicios biométricos móviles nacionales para aquellos que no pueden asistir a las citas programadas de ASC en persona“, detalló la agencia.
El servicio que solo estará disponible para aquellos inmigrantes que tiene un problema de salud o una discapacidad, también beneficiará a quienes viven en zonas remotas y se les complica acudir a los Centros de Apoyo porque “requieren múltiples modos de transporte o tiempos de viaje considerables para llegar a un ASC” para “obtener los beneficios” que ofrece USCIS.
“La tarjeta de huellas dactilares nunca debe dejar la presencia del componente de LEA o DHS responsable de recopilar las huellas dactilares hasta que se proporcione al servicio de transporte para que sea devuelta a USCIS”, informó la agencia.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services updated policy guidance on mobile biometric services that aims to break down barriers for applicants for benefits who do not can attend appointments for a health issue

This morning the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released an update to the policy guide on mobile biometric services with which they hope to “reduce barriers” to those applicants for benefits who cannot attend appointments at Application Assistance Centers to provide biometric data required for certain benefit applications, such as a Green Card.
According to USCIS, in these mobile service centers immigrants will be able to provide biometric data, such as fingerprints.
“Services may be provided for people with a disability or a health reason that prevents them from presenting in person. In other very limited circumstances, USCIS may, at its sole discretion, provide domestic mobile biometric services for those who are unable to attend scheduled ASC appointments in person.”
The service, which will only be available to those immigrants who have a health problem or a disability, will also benefit those who live in remote areas and find it difficult to go to the Support Centers because “they require multiple modes of transportation or considerable travel times to reach an ASC” to “obtain the benefits” offered by USCIS.
“The fingerprint card should never leave the presence of the LEA or DHS component responsible for collecting the fingerprints until it is provided to the transportation service for return to USCIS,” the agency reported.
