Residentes con Green Card Tendrán Derecho a una Prueba de Estatus de USCIS por Correo

Los inmigrantes permanentes podrán recibir evidencia temporal de su estatus de manera urgente por correo en lugar de visitar una oficina para recibir el sello ADIT o I-551; los solicitantes deberán cumplir con algunos requisitos simples

Todo inmigrante residente con Green Card ahora podrá recibir evidencia temporal de su estatus de residente permanente legal de manera urgente, será a través del correo que recibirán el sello de Documentación, Identificación y Telecomunicación de Extranjeros (ADIT) o también conocido como sello I-551.
Con esta acción los solicitantes ya no tendrán que acudir a una oficina para solicitar el sello, lo que sin duda facilitará el proceso tanto para el solicitante como para quienes la expiden.
El requisito para ser parte de esta nueva regla emitida el día de hoy es que los solicitantes realicen una llamada al Centro de Contacto del USCIS para pedir una prueba temporal de estatus, un funcionario de los servicios de inmigración verificará su identidad, dirección postal física y si esa dirección puede recibir correo urgente de UPS o FedEx se programará una cita en persona para el residente legal permanente.
“Si no es necesaria una cita en persona, la oficina de campo del USCIS revisará la solicitud de prueba temporal y enviará por correo al solicitante un formulario I-94 con el sello ADIT, el sello del DHS y una foto impresa del residente legal permanente obtenida de los sistemas del USCIS”, informó USCIS
De acuerdo con la oficina de Servicios de Ciudadanía e Inmigración, este proceso solo aplica para quienes no cuenta con su Green Card por una razón justificable.
Pese a esta nueva regla, algunos residente permanente legales aún tendrán que ir de manera presencial a una de las oficinas de USCIS para recibir evidencia temporal de su estatus, incluidos aquellos que tienen necesidades urgentes, por diversas razones, como por ejemplo, no cuentan con una fotografía clara para el sistema o si la dirección de identidad no puede ser identificada.

All immigrant residents with a Green Card will now be able to receive temporary evidence of their legal permanent resident status urgently, it will be through the mail that they will receive the Alien Documentation, Identification and Telecommunication (ADIT) stamp or also known as the I-551 stamp .
With this action, applicants will no longer have to go to an office to request the stamp, which will undoubtedly facilitate the process for both the applicant and those who issue it.
The requirement to be part of this new rule issued today is that applicants make a call to the USCIS Contact Center to request a temporary proof of status, an immigration services official will verify their identity, physical mailing address and if that address can receive UPS or FedEx priority mail, an in-person appointment will be scheduled for the legal permanent resident.
“If an in-person appointment is not necessary, the USCIS field office will review the request for temporary evidence and mail the applicant a Form I-94 with the ADIT stamp, the DHS stamp, and a printed photo of the lawful permanent resident. obtained from USCIS systems,” reported USCIS
According to the Office of Citizenship and Immigration Services, this process only applies to those who do not have their Green Card for a justifiable reason.
Despite this new rule, some legal permanent residents will still have to go in person to one of the USCIS offices to receive temporary evidence of their status, including those who have urgent needs, for various reasons, such as not having a clear photograph for the system or if the identity address cannot be identified.
