“La Palabra de la Semana”

Salmos 145: 13 “Tu reino es reino eterno, y tu señorío perdura por todas las generaciones. El Señor es digno de confianza en todo lo que promete y fiel en todo lo que hace”

Si nos detenemos y pensamos en las promesas de Dios, podemos darnos cuenta de que han existido desde el Antiguo Testamento con Abraham y Sara. El Señor tenía un plan perfecto para esta pareja que comenzó con la promesa de un futuro hijo. En Génesis 18:14, Dios dice: “¿Hay algo demasiado difícil para el Señor? Regresaré por esta época el año que viene y Sara tendrá un hijo «. Esta fue su respuesta a Abraham porque Sara se había reído y cuestionado la promesa de Dios de bendecirlos con un hijo en su vejez. Él reafirmó Su promesa de que al año siguiente ella tendría un hijo, y como nuestro Señor es un fiel cumplidor de promesas, eso es exactamente lo que sucedió. En el momento preciso, Sara pudo quedar embarazada tal como Dios lo había prometido y dio a luz a un hijo a quien Abraham llamó Isaac. Según la escritura, Abraham tenía 100 años cuando nació Isaac. Sara, estaba muy agradecida y complacida de que el Todopoderoso la hubiera bendecido con un bebé en su vejez. En Génesis 21: 6-7 “Y Sara declaró: Dios me ha hecho reír. Todos los que escuchen esto se reirán conmigo. ¿Quién le habría dicho a Abraham que Sara amamantaría a un bebé? ¡Sin embargo, le he dado un hijo a Abraham en su vejez! “ Dios también le prometió a Abraham que la generación futura, sus descendientes, vendrían de Isaac. Por lo tanto, Sus promesas se cumplieron de la manera que Él quería que fueran. Abraham y Sara tuvieron que confiar en Dios para cumplir sus promesas, lo cual no fue fácil en su vejez, pero no hay imposibles para Él. Una de las lecciones que debemos aprender de este pasaje es que debemos confiar en Dios con Sus promesas divinas a Su manera y en Su tiempo perfecto. Es importante confiar en Su tiempo porque a veces podemos estar ansiosos por obtener una respuesta de inmediato, pero debemos esperar a que Él nos guíe. Él está frente a nosotros y pelea nuestras batallas, así que todo lo que tenemos que hacer es quedarnos quietos y dejar que Él actúe. Para concluir, si ha presentado una petición especial ante el Todopoderoso en oración, puede estar seguro de que Él actuará porque es fiel y ya ha trazado un plan perfecto para su vida.
Oración: Querido Señor, te agradecemos por tus promesas divinas que nos dejaste en las escrituras donde encontramos la seguridad de que se cumplirán en tu propio tiempo perfecto, en el nombre de Jesús te lo pedimos. Amén.

Psalms 145:13 “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does”

If we stop and think about God’s promises, we can realize that they have been existent since the Old Testament with Abraham and Sarah. The Lord had a perfect plan for this couple that began with a promise of a future son. In Genesis 18:14, God states, “Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” This was His reply to Abraham because Sarah had laughed and questioned God’s promise of blessing them with a baby son at their old age. He restated His promise that the following year she would have a son, and because our Lord is a trustworthy promise keeper that is exactly what happened. At the precise timing, Sarah was able to become pregnant just like God had promised and gave birth to a son whom Abraham named Isaac. According to the scripture Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born. Sarah was so thankful and pleased that the Almighty had blessed her with a baby at her old age. In Genesis 21:6-7 “And Sarah declared, God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me. Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse a baby? Yet I have given Abraham a son in his old age!” God also promised Abraham that the future generation, his descendants, would come from Isaac. Therefore, His promises were fulfilled in the way He intended them to be. Abraham and Sarah had to trust God to keep His promises which was not easy at their old age, but that was not impossible for Him. One of the lessons to learn from this scripture is that we need to trust God with His divine promises in His way and in His perfect timing. It is important to trust His timing because sometimes we might get eager to get an answer right away, but we must wait for Him to guide us. He stands before us and fights our battles so all we must do is stand still and let Him act. To conclude, if you have put a special petition before the Almighty in prayer, you can rest assured that He will act because He is faithful and has already laid out a perfect plan for your life.

Prayer: Dear Lord, we thank you for your divine promises that you left for us in the scripture where we find the assurance that they will be fulfilled in your own perfect timing, in Jesus’ name we pray Amen.
