A new leadership team at the Indio Sizzler is causing old time fans of Sizzler to start flocking back. The first thing you will notice is the beef, fish, chicken, ribs, shrimp or salads have a fresh appeal to them and the prices are excellent.
In an interview with the recently brought aboard General Manager, Luis Silva, mentioned the fact the Indio Sizzler in the last three months has risen to be among the leaders nationwide in sales and satisfaction. Luis brings with him a reputation having created such improvements at his former employment as the General Manager at the Cathedral City Applebee’s. He was recognized in 2008 at the 12th Annual International Hispanic Awards for his significant contributions in business and employment excellence.
Luis Silva as the New General Manager for the Indio Sizzler as of three months ago has undertaken to recreate the Sizzler buffet with all fresh ingredients with everything made from scratch in their kitchen. Gone are the days when potato salads or certain items were pre made elsewhere.
Beef, fish and meats are selected daily and long term frozen storage does not exist. Customers have noticed and comments such as “ my steak was perfect, I asked for it medium and that is exactly the way I got it” and “ this salmon fillet was excellent, juicy, full of flavor and it tasted fresh” were given without hesitation while visiting Luis for an interview to discuss his secrets.
Luis who was born in Mexico City and is a graduate in nursing credits his sincere desire to assist people with that transference into anything he undertakes. Luis started his restaurant career at Las Casuelas Terrazas, a Palm Springs landmark, many years ago and he cultivated his skills from the bottom up. From dishwasher to General Manager, Luis did it all. For thirty years, Luis has been training to give Indio the best food at the best prices and you will find exactly that at the Indio Sizzler on Hwy 111 adjacent to the Hwy 111 entrance to Indio High School.
