Chuck Vasquez To Receive-Citizen Of The Year Award

Well known activist and local Hispanic resident of Cathedral City, Chuck Vasquez will be honored as “Citizen of the Year” for the Coachella Valley, as part of the 8th Annual Peace Officer and Public Safety Appreciation Day Awards Luncheon.

Mr. Vasquez received this award previously in 2001 and is the only citizen to ever be honored twice.

The awards luncheon will be put on by the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa on November 23rd at 11:30 am.

Chuck Vasquez will also be recognized for all his community work by Cathedral City Police Chief Stan Henry at the Cathedral City, City Council meeting November 22nd at 6:30 pm.
