Bono Mack Announces Federal Grants for Sunline Transit Agency

Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) today announced that SunLine Transit Agency will receive two grants totaling $326,040 in federal funding for a replacement clean fuel bus and for continued research and development of cutting edge hydrogen fuel cell technology. Bono Mack has been a strong supporter of SunLine’s innovative work in alternative fuels for many years and has been a key player in helping bring hydrogen power to the Coachella Valley.
“Our region benefits from SunLine Transit Agency’s commitment to providing public transportation using clean energy technology,” said Bono Mack. “A recognized leader in developing hydrogen fuel cell technology, SunLine continues to offer quality transportation services for local residents, and I am pleased to have helped secure these important funds that will expand alternative fuels and protect air quality in the Coachella Valley and across the nation.”
This grant money, requested by Bono Mack, will help advance research efforts in fuel cell technology in the Coachella Valley.
