25 Best Mom’s to be Recognized by Time Warner Cable-May 8th
Every mother is special to their children but some truly standout and deserve to be recognized for sacrifices and dedication they’ve made for their children and their families. Time Warner Cable is finding who they are. For the seventh straight year, Time Warner Cable has called on students in grades 4 through 12 to write essays telling why their mom should be one of the best in the Coachella Valley, Beaumont, Banning and Morongo Basin.
The essays were judged by a panel of local journalists, politicians and teachers who selected the 25 Best Moms for 2010 based on their children’s explanation and why they believe their mom is best. The writers of the three best essays will receive a new computer. There will be a winner from each school level: elemenatary, middle and high school. In addition, the winning student’s teacher will also receive a $250 gift card for supplies for their classrooms.
Each winning mom will be honored at a special luncheon on Saturday, May 8 where they will receive an award and gifts generously donated by sponsors throughout the desert. Visit www.timewarnercable.com/desertcities or www.thehispanicpress.com for the posting of the essays, in English on line.
