Última Celebración de los Boys Scouts de América en las Tropas de Palm Desert

El sábado 22 de febrero, en la Estaca Palm Desert, 21 niños fueron galardonados con su rango de Eagle Scout (Águila Exploradora), que es el nivel más alto de logro en exploración.
Hace casi dos años, la iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días anunció que ya no usaría la exploración como parte de su programa juvenil. Pero también dijeron que estarían plenamente comprometidos con finales de 2019.
¡Estos 21 chicos tomaron su ritmo y terminaron la carrera! Mantuvieron el compromiso y realizaron más de 3,000 horas combinadas de horas de servicio del proyecto de águila.
Ayudaron a varias organizaciones, incluyendo:
-Reserva del Valle de Coachella
-Coachella Valley Horas Rescate
-Servicio Forestal en el Monte San Jacinto
-Distrito Escolar Unificado de Desert Sands
-Distrito Escolar del Valle de Coachella
-Misión de Rescate del Valle de Coachella
-Museo General Patton
-Además de algunos otros…
Estos últimos chicos de Eagle Scouts trabajaron duro y terminaron bien. Hay 5 chicos más a punto de terminar, pero se quedaron sin tiempo, así que tuvieron que unirse a otras tropas y terminarán en los próximos meses.
Todo esto fue posible gracias al gran trabajo y compromiso de los maestros exploradores, los padres y por supuesto los niños.

 

On Saturday February 22, at the Palm Desert Stake, 21 boys were awarded their Eagle Scout rank, which is the highest level of achievement in scouting.
Almost two years ago the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints announced it would be no longer using scouting as part of its youth program. But they also said they would be fully committed to the end of 2019.
These 21 boys picked up their pace and finished the race! They kept the commitment and made over 3,000 combined hours of eagle project service hours.
They helped multiple organizations including:
-Coachella Valley Preserve
-Coachella Valley Hours Rescue
-Forest Service on Mount San Jacinto
-Desert Sands Unified School District
-Coachella Valley School District
-Coachella Valley Rescue Mission
-General Patton Museum
-Plus a few others…
These final Eagle Scouts boys worked hard and finished well. There are 5 more boys close to finish but ran out of time so they had to join some other troops and will finish off in the next few months.
All this was possible thanks to the great job and commitment of the scout masters, the parents, and the boys.
