I am saddened to lose my friend having kept through the years yet feel blessed chance having times we had.  The candor and humor interjected serious debates often forced each other opposite positions defend.
When I first met Al 25 years ago soon found ourselves supporting each other in difficult times.  The bond shared an ethical commitment to social justice and recognized both spoken gentle way logic absent need combat.
I will miss you my friend and remember both laughed known even Donald Trump couldn’t stand between us.

A menudo, su franqueza y humor interrumpieron los serios debates que tuvimos frente a frente defendiendo nuestras posiciones. Cuando conocí Al por primera vez fue hace 25 años, pronto nos encontramos apoyándonos mutuamente en tiempos difíciles.  El vínculo compartido fue un compromiso ético con la justicia social, y reconocer que hablando lógicamente y de manera suave no había la necesidad de discutir.
Me entristece perder al amigo que mantuve a través de    los años, todavía me siento bendecido por la oportunidad de haber compartido los tiempos que tuvimos.
Te extrañare mi amigo, y recuerdo que ambos reíamos sabiendo que ni Donald Trump podía interponerse entre nosotros.
