Tribute To Al Vasquez

It has now been almost a year since the passing of my dear friend, Al Vasquez.
I know that I can say that in my real thoughts, he is still with us as he comes into my thoughts every now and then and I smile with great remembrance.
I first met Al Vasquez while I was working at Diners Club International. We shared an office in the Legal Department.  We became very good friends and after work we would sometimes go for a drink.  Sometimes in a group and sometimes just the two of us.  Al Vasquez had 3 important gifts, speech, intelligence and a great sense of humor.  When he spoke those around him would listen attentively.
I can honestly say that the times that we spent together in conversations on politics, history, philosophy and subjects of relevancy and matter numerology were the best times of our lives. So many times, I would find myself listening to him quite contently as I loved to her him speak.  We would spend 2 or 3 hours in conversations on so many different subjects it was hard to believe that there was so much to say but he was an encyclopedia of knowledge.  Once I asked him how he was able to retain all the knowledge and subject matter and he humbly answered me by saying “I am just like you David, sometimes I also forget, but I find it easy to associate things with what I already know”.  So, in essence, he raised me up to his level of intelligence and didn’t make me feel inferior.  Al Vasquez was a real human being whose consideration of others never failed.
I am sure that those of us who knew and were a friend to Al Vasquez were left with a part of his wisdom and his kindness.  I hope that we will use wisdom and kindness as he did.

Ha pasado casi un año desde el fallecimiento de mi querido amigo, Al Vasquez.
Sé que puedo decir que en mis verdaderos pensamientos, él todavía está con nosotros cuando entra en mis pensamientos de vez en cuando y sonrío con gran remembranza.
Conocí a Al Vasquez mientras trabajaba en Diners Club International. Compartimos una oficina en el Departamento Legal. Nos hicimos muy buenos amigos y después del trabajo solíamos ir a tomar algo. Algunas veces en un grupo y algunas veces solo nosotros dos. Al Vasquez tenía 3 regalos importantes, habla, inteligencia y un gran sentido del humor. Cuando hablaba, los que estaban a su alrededor escuchaban atentamente.
Honestamente puedo decir que los tiempos que pasamos juntos en conversaciones sobre política, historia, filosofía y temas de relevancia y numerología de materia fueron los mejores momentos de nuestras vidas. Muchas veces, me encontraba escuchándolo bastante contentamente mientras lo amaba hablar. Pasaríamos 2 o 3 horas en conversaciones sobre tantos temas diferentes que era difícil creer que había mucho que decir, pero él era una enciclopedia de conocimiento. Una vez le pregunté cómo era capaz de retener todo el conocimiento y el tema, y ​​él me respondió humildemente diciendo: “Yo soy como tú, David, a veces también lo olvido, pero me resulta fácil asociar cosas con lo que ya sé”. . Entonces, en esencia, él me elevó a su nivel de inteligencia y no me hizo sentir inferior. Al Vasquez era un ser humano real cuya consideración por los demás nunca falló.
Estoy seguro de que aquellos de nosotros que conocimos y fuimos amigos de Al Vasquez nos quedamos con una parte de su sabiduría y su amabilidad. Espero que usemos la sabiduría y la bondad como lo hizo.
