Time Warner Cable Adds EIGHT SPANISH LANGUAGE AND Latino FOCUSED Channels
Time Warner Cable has added 8 new Spanish language and Latino focused channels to its Spanish language digital tier. SiTV, Discovery Familia, Bandamax, CBTV Michoacan, Mexico 22, Once Mexico, De Pelicula Classico and De Pelicula are immediately viewable by customers subscribing to “Espanol Tier 1” (formerly “Nuestra Tele”). “Espanol Tier 1” can be added for $5 plus the cost of a digital converter.

SiTV, available on channel 665, is an American English language Latino network that broadcasts programs aimed at young Latinos and the wider multi-cultural TV audience. The network produces original series and also syndicates second-run shows with Latino leads, including New York Undercover, Resurrection Blvd., American Family, Dark Angel and Malcom & Eddie.
Discovery Familia, available on channel 670, delivers a variety of daytime and evening programming. During they day the channel offers high-quality preschool entertainment and provides parents with tools to motivate their children to investigate the world around them. The evening programming is geared towards women and children and focuses on culturally-relevant travel, health, beauty, nutrition and design topics.
Bandamax, available on channel 671, is dedicated to the most popular Latin music genre in the United States. The channel features 24-hours a day of country music videos, including the best artists in the Grupero, Norteno, Banda, Tex-Mex and Mariachi genres.
CBTV Michoacan, available on channel 677, is a general entertainment channel offering regional programming and providing a local view into the everyday lives of Michoacanos living in Mexico and abroad.
Mexico 22, available on channel 678, is an arts and entertainment channel that features award winning documentaries, cultural newscasts, talk shows, and international acclaimed stars.
Once Mexico, available on channel 679, is an “edutainment” channel that includes dynamic Mexican programming for all ages, programs of strong editorial content on political issues, news, documentaries, tourism, cooking, award winning series for kids, and talk shows about important issues that affect Mexicans all over the world.
De Pelicula Classico, available on channel 680, is a classic movie channel featuring the best films from the 1930’s, 1940’s and 1950’s known as Mexico’s “Golden Era” in filmmaking.
De Pelicula, available on channel 681, the #1 rated move service in Mexico, features the best films drawn from the world’s largest library of Spanish language films. De Pelicula’s programming includes contemporary and classic movies from all eras, presented without commercial interruption.
“Espanol Tier 1” also includes Mun2, Fox Sports Espanol, Canal SUR, CNN Espanol, Cine Latino, Toon Disney en Espanol, Discovery en Espanol, Boomerang (SAP), Sopresa, Video Rola, EWTN Espanol, La Familia and ESPN Deportes.
