New SuperTarget in Indio
Sunday, October 12th
MINNEAPOLIS Target® opens a new SuperTarget in Indio. The new SuperTarget aims to make shopping for groceries and household essentials fun and easy. In addition, this SuperTarget will add value to the surrounding community by adding jobs and purchasing goods and services from local vendors.
What differentiates SuperTarget from other retailers and grocers is its ability to bring everything into one convenient location. The layout allows guests to easily transition from the grocery to the general merchandise aisles and visit a number of services for their lifestyle needs including Target Pharmacy, Target Optical and Starbucks®.
“The new SuperTarget brings a long tradition of community giving and our one-stop-shop philosophy to the Indio community,” said Bernie Weis, of Target. “We place a priority on hiring locally and creating new jobs for Indio residents.”
The Indio SuperTarget will be one of the first SuperTargets in the area. We would like to thank city officials for their support in bringing this SuperTarget to the community. The store was designed in the Legereto style, which gracefully expresses the themes of the low desert.
As of Sunday, October 12, Minneapolis-based Target will serve guests at 1,685 stores in 48 states nationwide by delivering today’s best retail trends at affordable prices. Target is committed to providing guests with great design through innovative products, in-store experiences and community partnerships. Whether visiting a Target store or shopping online at Target.com, guests enjoy a fun and convenient shopping experience with access to thousands of unique and highly differentiated items. Target (NYSE:TGT) gives more than $3 million a week to its local communities through grants and special programs. Since opening its first store in 1962, Target has partnered with nonprofit organizations, guests and team members to help meet community needs.
