Spotlight 29 Casino Wraps up Summer of fun with Paul Rodriguez in concert
Hilarious Concert Slated for September 5
In a two-decade career that includes 30 films and countless TV credits, star of stage and screen Paul Rodriguez has been making people laugh all over the world in two languages. Now Rodriguez stars in a hilarious one man comedy concert to wrap up Spotlight 29 Casino’s Summer of Fun.
Rodriguez takes the stage September 5 at 8 p.m.; audience members start falling down from laughter at about 8:01 p.m. Tickets for Paul Rodriguez at Spotlight 29 Casino are $30 and $25 and available now at Spotlight29.com, the Spotlight 29 Casino Gift Shop or by calling (800) 585-3737. The concert is rated R; must be at least 18 years of age to attend accompanied by adult 21+.
Rodriguez is known for his roles in the films “Ali,” “Born in East L.A.,” “Crocodile Dundee in L.A.,” “D.C. Cab,” “Rat Race,” “Tortilla Soup” and for the landmark “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy” which he starred in and produced.
On television, he is loved for his roles in series such as “a.k.a. Pablo,” “Grand Slam” and “Trial and Error,” for countless appearances on HBO and Showtime and for his internationally seen entertainment talk show, “El Show de Paul Rodriguez.” He is enshrined in the Smithsonian Museum for his part on the first television show about a Mexican American family to air on mainstream American television.
In addition to writing, directing, producing and performing, Rodriguez fills his time watching his son, Paul Rodriguez, Jr., a professional skateboarder and gold medal winner at the 2004 X Games. Rodriguez Sr. is also heavily involved in numerous charitable organizations, including Comic Relief and the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
