Spotlight 29 Casino Celebrates 15th Anniversary

Weekend of festivities for grand re-opening of remodeled casino, January 14-17

COACHELLA, CA …

This weekend Spotlight 29 Casino is celebrating its 15th Anniversary and the grand re-opening of the newly remodeled casino floor.

The festivities kicked off Thursday, January 14, with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by cake and refreshments. The festivities were attended by a large crowd of local civic leaders, personalities and many locals who have enjoyed a full spectrum of Spotlight events over the past 15 years. Expressions of “the place looks fabulous” were heard as the crowd enjoyed the artistically refurbished surroundings.

To celebrate and reward guests, Thursday through Sunday, Spotlight 29 Casino will be giving away $60,000. From 9:30am – midnight one lucky person will win $500 every 30 minutes.

Today, Friday, the hugely popular “Cold Cash Friday” continues with a chance to win up to three times the money! Winners will be chosen every 30 minutes and then will enter the Blizzard of Cash for 30 seconds to grab as much money as they can as it whips around like a tornado.

There was a special Rat Pack Tribute Thursday night from 6-7pm in the Blue Bar. This Las Vegas style show featured Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, and Dean Martin performers with

Group Bohemio on stage after 8PM.

The newly enclosed Blue Bar will have drink specials from 6-9pm including $6 shots of patron and margaritas, $5 vodka martini’s as well as $2.50 bottles of Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Lime and Miller Ultra.

Spotlight 29 Casino, owned and operated by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians, opened its doors in 1995 with 100,000 square feet of space. In 2001, they teamed up with Donald Trump and Spotlight 29 Casino became Trump 29 Casino. In 2006, the casino returned back to Spotlight 29. Last year, the casino underwent major renovations starting with a new parking structure that can accommodate 1,200 vehicles. The remodeled inside now includes almost 250,000 square feet for gaming, office space, meeting and conference space, dining and entertainment.

Other new additions include an upgraded poker room, a high limit slot area as well as a new lounge for Platinum Members. The Casino has also 2,000 slot machines and table games including Black Jack, Pai Gow, Mini Baccarat and Let it Ride. The table game area also features 10 flat screen televisions.
