SALSA CONTEST IS HEATING UP THURSDAY NIGHTS IN THE BLUE BAR AT SPOTLIGHT 29 CASINO

After First Week Standing Room Only Crowds, Competition Enters Week Two

COACHELLA, Calif. (December 6, 2005) – Steaming up the desert’s cold December nights is a hot new salsa dance contest, underway at Spotlight 29 Casino. Week one was a standing-room-only crowd and a dance floor full of contestants. Now, with week two ready to launch this Thursday, the action will only get hotter – understandable given that over $12,000.00 in prizes will be awarded.

December 8 and 15 are the last two open competition nights for dancers across the Coachella Valley to come to the Blue Bar inside Spotlight 29 Casino. The fun gets started with salsa dance lessons from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Then, dancers compete in the qualifying competitions from 9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.

Four couples are chosen as winners in each of the qualifying weeks. The action will build to a semi-final on January 5, where the 12 couples will dance their way into one of six spots in the finals. The finals are slated for January 12.

Besides the glory of winning, there are some serious prizes at stake. First, each week, the four winning couples will receive Amusement Park passes and dinners at the all-new Café Capitata. All finalists will receive a year’s worth of tickets to the Spotlight 29 Showroom, except for four-wall presentations. Then, there are the prizes for winning the entire competition:

• 1st Place: His & Hers Jewelry from De Luca Las Palmas Jewelers valued at more than $7,000.00

• 2nd Place: Seven-day, six-night Mexican Riviera cruise valued at $2,500.00

• 3rd Place: A pair of luxury recliners from Ortega Furniture valued at $1,600.00

• 4th Place: Coby Home Theatre System and Panasonic DVD/VCR Player
