Parents in Action

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School in Indio is not only blessed to have a great student body, but also is blessed to have supportive and committed parents who give tirelessly to the school’s educational endeavors. Parents, Guardians, Grandparents, and family relatives work hard to raise funds for their children’s well-deserved field trips, special class activities, and schoolwide events.

All who have children enrolled in the school take pride in the school itself. Parents set aside time to give valuable service hours that include maintenance repairs, taking care of the grounds and landscape, as well as general TLC around the facilities. Parents, Guardians, and others give general service hours by assisting teachers in the classroom, driving students on their field trips, being room parents, coaching sports, supervising students during recess or lunch, assisting with the hot lunch program, reading to students, sewing, providing or making costumes for the Christmas program or other activities, sharing their career through presentations, and organizing schoolwide events.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School has an active Parents’ Club who support the school’s policies and guidelines. All parents and guardians are enrolled in the Parents’ Club and are encouraged to participate in their child’s education by being involved in the school. Through this involvement, parents and guardians can build their own friendships and bond with one another. The Parents’ Club is a support system for the parents as well as the school staff, which is why many feel OLPH School is a large extended family. Without the parents, guardians, and others who serve the school with their dedication, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School cannot continue to flourish in the community. The school is grateful to the parents and all who give from their hearts, so their child can receive a Catholic education.
