Ophelia Project students
Ophelia Project students toured the La Prensa Hispana office in Indio to get a glimpse at a portion of producing a newspaper. The students saw the insert procedure and heard how five different facilities are utilized to produce the newspaper.
The Ophelia Project is a national program for high school aged females and is dedicated to make certain they receive the assistance they need to ascertain graduation from high school. Students are recommended by teachers and are encouraged through counseling to continue their studies. The Coachella Valley Executive Director is Susan Francis. The Ophelia Project has an over 91% success rate. They were accompanied by teachers and volunteers.La Prensa Hispana has been a strong advocate for the project for the past six years.
