Newsom Firmó una Estricta Ley que Ordena Vacunas Dirigidas a Niños en Edad Escolar y Medicamente Frágiles

El lunes 9 de septiembre del 2019 fue un día monumental y aterrador para muchas familias alrededor de California. Una legislación creada para afectar a los niños medicamente frágiles fue firmada por el Gobernador Newsom. Estos niños y todos los niños en edad escolar de California estarán sujetos a esta nueva ley y a todos sus complejos requerimientos a partir de enero del 2021. Los niños que anteriormente habían obtenido una excepción médica a los requerimientos de vacunas serán obligados reaplicar para una nueva excepción medica por medio del Departamento de Salud y Servicios humanos de California. Esta organización (no el médico o pediatra primario) aprobara o negara esta petición. Los requerimientos ahora son extremadamente angostos. Lo que significa que muchas familias con hijos discapacitados o medicamente frágiles quizá no califiquen y serán obligados a cumplir con las vacunas recomendadas por el Centro de Control de Enfermedades (CDC).
Madres, padres, y abuelos llevaron sus voces hasta el Capitolio Estatal en Sacramento. El lunes 9 de septiembre, miles se reunieron a través de los pasillos frente a la oficina del Gobernador, por la gallería legislativa y rodearon las instalaciones. Ellos sostenían pancartas llamando a la libertad médica, separación del estado y farma, advirtiendo a otros de los riesgos que acompañan a las vacunas, etc. Podían escucharse coreando “No Segregación – No Discriminación – Si Educación Para Todos.” A2
Sus gritos se escuchaban en todos los pasillos y hacían eco en todo el edificio. Fue una demostración pacifica que concluyo con el arresto de seis individuos. Cuatro eran madres (incluyendo a una madre amamantando, quien fue detenida en la cárcel por 12 horas esperando ser procesada). Todos estaban ejercitando su derecho a protestar con voz cívica conforme a la primera enmienda, pero la policía mostro cero tolerancias cuando se rehusaron a moverse de la entrada. Los protestantes permanecieron en silencio, brazo a brazo bloqueando la entrada al estacionamiento del Capitolio.
De acuerdo al Senador Brian Jones (R), “En el curso de mis siete años, he presenciado 8,000 leyes pasar por la legislatura. Monday, September 9, 2019 was a monumental yet frightening day for many families across California. Legislation meant to target medically fragile children was signed into law by Governor Newsom. These children and all school age children in California will be subject to this new law and all of its complex requirements beginning January 2021. Children who had previously obtained a medical exemption for the vaccine requirements will be forced to reapply for a medical exemption through the State Department of Health and Human Services. This organization (not the primary care physician or pediatrician) will approve or deny this petition. The requirements now are extremely narrow. Which means, many families with disabled and otherwise medically fragile children may not qualify and be forced to comply to all CDC recommended vaccinations.
Mothers, fathers, grandparents took their voices to the State Capitol in Sacramento. On Monday, September 9, thousands gathered throughout the halls in front of the Governor’s office, throughout the legislative gallery and surrounded the grounds. They were holding signs calling for medical freedom, separation of state and Pharma, warning others of the risks that accompany vaccination, etc. You could hear them chanting “No Segregation – No Discrimination – Yes on Education for All.” A2
Their cries were heard up and down the halls and echoed throughout the entire building. Theirs was a peaceful demonstration but one that included the arrest of a total of six individuals. Four were mothers (including a breastfeeding mother who was held at the jail for more than 12 hours awaiting processing). All were exercising their first amendment right to protest with a civil voice, but the CHP showed zero tolerance when they refused to move from a driveway entrance. The protesters stood silently, arm in arm blocking an entrance to a parking garage on the Capitol premises.
According to Senator Brian Jones (R), “Over the course of my seven years, I have witnessed 8,000 bills come through this legislature. Of these 8,000 other bills, zero have elicited the amount of passion, outpouring and community interest that these two bills have elicited from the citizens of California.”
