Mexicali Delegation gives a city highlights presentation

La Piñata Restaurant in Indio,Ca. hosts the event

A delegation of dignitaries from Mexicali arrived in Indio on Wednesday to present many aspects of their beautiful city. The delegation met with several media outlets and gave a fantastic review of major yearly productions, events, functions, hotels and accommodations. The gathering was held at the very popular Indio Piñata Restaurant with owners Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lopez in attendance.

In presentations, the delegation expounded on the dune buggy ZR Poker Run which took place on September 6th to be followed by the CheveFest to take place on September 19th and 20th. Following the CheveFest, there will be the very popular and region-wide Fiestas del Sol on September 26th through the 19th of October. The Fiestas del Sol will open with the entertainment icon Vicente Fernandez who always draws a full house. The fiestas have a daily entertainment schedule with top artists on more than one stage. This yearly event draws hundreds of thousands over a three week period. For most of the events, the modest admission price includes the entertainment. The Fiestas will include the traditional massive assortment of rides, vendors and over 100 yards of food booths.

On the 2nd – 7th of February, the “Serie del Caribe” baseball Caribbean series will take place in Mexicali. In attendance were representatives Srita. Susana Jara, Ejecutiva de Ventas/Sales Executive from the Lucerna Hotel in Mexicali, L.C.C. Rocío Robles, Coordinador de Relaciones Publicas y Promoción, FEX, Centro de Ferias, Eventos y Exposiciones, Martha Núñez from FOX 9, ABC 5, T35 and myTV with offices in El Centro, California.
