Maggie Zepeda is currently serving the community as a city councilwoman and feels strongly she has more to offer and share with a community she loves. That is a prime reason she wants to be your mayor. Maggie advocates honesty and integrity and despite a strong resistance to her leadership from the male dominated city leadership, she is confident the community will support a highly educated, sincere professional woman who can lead the city with confidence and understanding. While this campaign is only getting started, there is already mumblings among her political competitors to unite and remove a female competitor. There is an apparent fear of a strong female presence in a leadership role. It is up to the community to decide between advancing the city to the next level or maintaining a status quo of business as usual. Other cities in the Coachella Valley have had a strong female leadership and continue to have it. It is time for Maggie Zepeda and the city of Coachella to unite.
