Are Our Legislators Really Doing their Job, or is the ACLU Reshaping California’s Legislations?

Informed Parents of California would like to thank Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia for keeping his word, and arranging a meeting between IPOC’s leadership team and the office of Assemblymember Shirley Webber. Unfortunately, due to her busy schedule, we met with Anthony DiMartino, Legislative Director, and not with her. To our surprise, sitting next to Mr. DiMartino was Maya Ingram, a legislative attorney with the ACLU, who was introduced as “the expert on AB 329.” IPOC’s leadership team included Stephanie Yates, Aileen Blachowski, Gheorghe Rosca, America Figueroa, and representing California family Council, Greg Burt.
The first question was asked by America Figueroa: “seeing the State-approved curriculums, the proposed health framework, and everything that has evolved from AB 329, was it Dr. Webber’s intent to sexualize our children when she wrote AB 329?” To which DiMartino replied: “I have not read through the whole framework, and I wasn’t here when AB 329 passed, but “she is the expert in the law,” Mr. DiMartino said while pointing at the ACLU lawyer.
Stephanie Yates then questioned the reasons for teaching sexual consent and negotiation skills to students under the State-approved curriculums, and asked about chapter 6 in the framework, where it says “Students identify local resources for reproductive and sexual health and evaluate laws related to sexual involvement with minors by inviting the local American Civil Liberties Union chapter, local Planned Parenthood…”(Page 61, Lines 1430-1432) and the fact that he was calling an ACLU lawyer ‘the expert in the law,’ after they had defended NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association), a pedophile organization sued for providing literature to the man who raped and murdered a 10 year old boy (Curley v. NAMBLA-2000); Maya Ingram nodded with a smile and replied: “but I’m not here to litigate, I’m just here as a legislative employee.”
Gheorghe Rosca pointed out what a violation of our rights it was to have been ambushed by having the ACLU at the table, “we did not elect the ACLU and they have no place in constituent meetings with elected officials.”
After the meeting where the Legislative Director Anthony DiMartino was unknowledgeable and unprepared to answer our questions, and the only one with the apparent answers was the ACLU, we can only wonder who is really writing these laws, and who’s behind these malicious intents to corrupt the minds and steal the innocence of our children? It is time to speak up, WE THE PEOPLE, deserve better than the corrupt legislators currently in office and uncapable of protecting and seeking the best interest of our children and families. Informed Parents of California desea agradecer al Asambleísta Eduardo García por mantener su palabra y arreglar una cita entre el liderazgo de IPOC y la oficina de la Asambleísta Shirley Webber.  Desafortunadamente, debido a su agenda ocupada, nos reunimos con su Director Legislativo Anthony DiMartino, y no con ella. Para nuestra sorpresa, sentada al lado de él estaba Maya Ingram, una abogada legislativa con la Unión de Libertades Civiles Americanas (ACLU), quien fue presentada como “la experta en la AB 329.” En el liderazgo de IPOC se encontraban Stephanie Yates, Aileen Blachowski, Gheorghe Rosca, America Figueroa, y representando al California Family Council, Greg Burt.
La primera pregunta fue hecha por America Figueroa: “viendo los currículos aprobados por el estado, el propuesto marco de referencia, y todo lo que ha evolucionado de la AB 329, ¿fue la intención de la Dra. Webber sexualizar a nuestros niños cuando escribió esta ley?” a lo que DiMartino respondió: “no he leído todo el marco, y no estaba aquí cuando la ley se aprobó, pero “ella es la experta en la ley,” dijo señalando a la abogada del ACLU.
Stephanie Yates pregunto sobre las razones para enseñar a los estudiantes a dar y obtener consentimiento sexual y habilidades de negociación, bajo los currículos estatales aprobados; además pregunto acerca del Capítulo 6 del marco de referencia en donde dice: “Los estudiantes identificaran recursos locales para salud reproductiva y sexual y evaluaran leyes relacionadas con involucramiento sexual con menores invitando a la Unión de Libertades Civiles Americanas local, Planned Parenthood local…”(Pagina 61, Líneas 1430-1432) y el hecho de estar llamando a una abogada del ACLU ‘la experta en la ley,’ después de que defendieron a NAMBLA (Asociación Norteamericana de Amor Hombre Niño), una organización de pedófilos, demandada por haber proporcionado literatura al hombre que violo y mato a un niño de 10 anos (Curley v. NAMBLA-2000); Maya Ingram asintió con una sonrisa y dijo: “pero no estoy aquí para litigar, sino como una empleada legislativa.”
Gheorghe Rosca señaló que fue una violación de nuestros derechos el haber sido emboscados al tener al ACLU en la mesa, “no elegimos al ACLU y ellos no tienen lugar en reuniones entre constituyentes y oficiales electos.”
Después de la reunión a la que el Director Legislativo Anthony DiMartino apareció sin conocimiento ni preparación para responder nuestras preguntas, y donde la única con aparentes respuestas era la ACLU, solo nos podemos preguntar, ¿quién escribe realmente las leyes y quien está detrás de estos intentos maliciosos por corromper las mentes y robar la inocencia de nuestros niños? Es tiempo de hablar, nosotros el pueblo, merecemos algo mejor que los legisladores corruptos actualmente en el poder e incapaces de proteger y procurar el mejor interés de nuestros niños y familias.
