La Prensa Hispana Newspaper by hosting a Toy Drive for the Galilee Center in Coachella in Mr. Vasquez’ name

Joy Miedecke, President of East Valley Republican Women, Rich Gilgallon of 94.3 FM Hot Talk Radio Show and Senator Jeff Stone were gathered at the East Valley Republican Headquarters on Hwy 111 in La Quinta this past Friday, December 15th, to sponsor a Gift Drive in honor of Mr. Al Vasquez, owner and publisher of La Prensa Hispana Newspaper, who passed away this December.
Items collected will go to the Galilee Center in Coachella with an emphasis on children from 12-14 years old for Holiday gifts that they might not receive if this drive in Mr. Vasquez’s honor did not take place.
Mr. Vasquez was a contributor through the East Valley Republican Women’s Scholarship Fund, giving a scholarship for a High School Senior majoring in Journalism.
The East Valley Republican Women, Mr. Rich Gilgallon, and Senator Stone hope to continue the Drive every year in honor of Mr. Al Vasquez, who will be dearly missed in the community.
