¿La Educación en Casa se Convertirá en la nueva norma? Esperemos que Sí

Han pasado dos años desde que nos azotó la realidad de lo que estaba pasando en las escuelas del gobierno. Para aquellos que lucharon contra el “common core” ha sido aún más tiempo. Hemos venido diciendo que sacar a todos los niños de las escuelas públicas será la única solución para detener el adoctrinamiento que ocurre actualmente dentro de las aulas. ¿Han oído el dicho “Dios trabaja de maneras misteriosas”?, eso es exactamente lo que mi hijo de 9 años me dijo ayer cuando se enteró que casi cada niño en el país está siendo “educado en casa” por causa del coronavirus.
Sé que será un reto para muchos padres y madres solteros, sé que no será como un paseo por el parque para los hogares donde ambos padres tienen que trabajar, pero puedo asegurarles que cuando se quiere se puede.
Me gustaría que cada padre en lugar de centrarse en los desafíos y dificultades se centrara en las bendiciones y ventajas que vendrán con esto. Una vez que nos enfoquemos en lo positivo, será más fácil saborear los beneficios.
Enseñar a los niños en casa no significa replicar el ambiente del salón de clases. Significa permitir que los niños aprendan en un entorno libre donde puedan descubrir y experimentar cosas nuevas todos los días. Sí, tendrá que establecer horarios y reglas, pero por lo general tomará alrededor de una semana para que los niños las aprendan y comiencen a seguirlas, solo necesitamos ser consistentes al aplicarlas. Comenzará a ver que la flexibilidad no es tan difícil y que en un día lluvioso está bien dejar que los niños trabajen en pijama.
Sé que puede ser abrumador, pero respire hondo y recuerde que superaremos esto. No hay nadie mejor equipado para amar, nutrir y enseñar a sus hijos que a usted mismo.

“Esto será un despertar para innumerables estudiantes de la escuela k-12 estadounidenses — y sus padres- que estos estudiantes en realidad no tienen que asistir a una escuela pública ‘de ladrillo y mortero’ para recibir una educación de alta calidad, seguida de un diploma. Una vez que estos estudiantes comienzan sus tareas en línea, pueden darse cuenta de que el aprendizaje en línea es mucho más profundo, mucho más riguroso, mucho más interesante, y sin embargo mucho más tranquilo, ya que no tienen que mirar para ver quién está a punto de entrar en una pelea física, o detestar asistir a clases donde los maestros los adoctrinan con sus propias ideologías personales. Los estudiantes de hoy se ven obligados a participar en el “aprendizaje basado en proyectos”, actividades grupales, clubes y juegos competitivos que, en última instancia, buscan conquistarse y dividirse entre sus compañeros, sin que la persona individual tenga la oportunidad de pensar o actuar ellos mismos de una manera creativa. Por lo tanto, su participación en la educación en línea ahora los ha obligado a pensar por sí mismos, y para sí mismos en un entorno de aprendizaje tranquilo y sensato donde el estudiante individual puede existir con su propia mente y sus propios pensamientos para guiarlos en un panorama en línea donde los límites son infinitos.
El suicidio es, de hecho, la primera causa de muerte entre los estudiantes de universidades y colegios, pero este no es el caso cuando asisten en línea. ¡Caray!, me pregunto ¿por qué?

 

It’s been two years since we were hit with the reality of what was going on in government schools. For those who fought against common-core has been even longer. We have been saying all along that pulling every child out of public schools will be the only solution to stop the indoctrination currently happening inside the classrooms. Have you heard the saying “God works in mysterious ways?” well, that is exactly what my 9 years old told me yesterday when he realized that now almost every child in the country is being “homeschooled” due to the coronavirus. I know it will be challenging for many single parents, I know it won’t be a walk in the park for homes where both parents have to work, but I can assure you that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
I would like for every parent to rather than focusing in the challenges and difficulties, focus on the blessings and advantages that will come with this. Once we start focusing on the positives, it will be easier to savor the benefits of doing this.
Teaching children at home doesn’t mean replicating the classroom’s environment. It means allowing children to learn in a free environment where they can discover and experiment new things every day. Yes, you will need to set schedules and rules, but those will usually take about a week for the children to learn them and start following them, we just need to be consistent when applying them. You will start seeing that flexibility is not that difficult and that on a rainy day it is ok to let the kids work in their pajamas.
I know it might be overwhelming but take a deep breath and remember we will get through this. There is no one better equipped to love, nurture, and teach your children than yourself.

“this will be an awakening for countless American K-12 school students — and their parents — that these students actually don’t have to attend a ‘brick and mortar’ public school in order to receive a high-quality education, followed by a diploma. Once these students begin their online tasks, they may come to the realization that online learning is far more in-depth, far more rigorous, far more interesting, and yet far more quiet, as they don’t have to look to see who is about to get into a physical fight, or detest attending classes where teachers are indoctrinating them with their own personal ideologies. Therefore, the presence of this virus and the forced school closings that have occurred as a result, have perhaps created the next wave of individualists and online learners in America.
Online education requires students to think for themselves. Within typical American K-12 schools, individualism is being stamped out on purpose. Students today are forced to engage in “project-based learning,” group activities, clubs, and competitive games that ultimately seek to conquer and divide one another among their peers, without the individual person ever having a chance to think or act for themselves in a creative way. Therefore, their participation in online education has now forced them to think for themselves, by themselves, in a what hopes to be a quiet, sensible learning environment where the individual student can exist with their own mind and their own thoughts to guide them in an online landscape where the limits are endless.
