Kraft Nabisco Championship to make live announcement this monday for Charity Drawing

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA.

Charities from around the valley will be tuning into Team 1010 Sports Radio this Monday to find out if they’ll have a shot at winning $1 million at the Toyota/Kraft Nabisco Championship Celebrity Hole-in-One Shootout in one week. Terry Wilcox with the Kraft Nabisco Championship will make a live announcement on Julie Buehler’s “Sports Buzz” show on Monday at 4 p.m. to announce the names of the non-profit organizations selected to compete in the first-time event.

The Toyota/Kraft Nabisco Championship Celebrity Hole-in-One Shootout on Monday, March 29, at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. , is the final leg of the Kraft Nabisco Championship’s new Integrated Wealth Management TICKETS Fore CHARITY program. More than 90 charities participated in the fundraising program this year in which 100 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales are being donated back to the charities.

For every $500 worth of tickets sold, the charities received one entry into a blind drawing for the shootout competition. This Monday, the names of 20 qualifying charities will be drawn and announced on Team 1010. Each charity selected will have the opportunity to send one amateur golfer to represent them in the preliminary shootout at 1:30 p.m. on March 29 at the Arnold Palmer Course at Mission Hills Country Club. The 20 amateur golfers will be given two shots each at a 135-yard pin on the 18th hole of the Palmer Course.

The six closest shots to the pin will then advance to the Celebrity Shootout finals at 4 p.m. Each of the six charities will be paired with a celebrity, with both the amateur and the celebrity receiving two shots at the 135-yard pin. The closest shot to the pin wins a three-year lease on a new 2011 Toyota Sienna for the charity. A hole-in-one by either the amateur or the celebrity wins $1 million for the charity.

In addition, as part of its title sponsorship for the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program for the Kraft Nabisco Championship, Integrated Wealth Management will provide a $25,000 bonus pool to be distributed among the participating organizations at a rate based upon their percentage of total ticket sales. For example, a non-profit group that sells 10 percent of the total tickets will receive 10 percent of the bonus pool.

The Hole-in-One Celebrity Shootout serves as the kick-off for the 2010 Kraft Nabisco Championship, scheduled for March 29 through April 4 at Mission Hills Country Club. Tickets through the Integrated Wealth Management TICKETS Fore CHARITY program will be available online at www.KNCGOLF.com through April 4. At the time of the online sale, golf fans will be asked to designate one of the participating non-profit organizations. The customer can print their ticket at home after purchasing or arrange for will call pick-up. The tickets, priced at $25, will be valid any one day from Tuesday to Sunday of Tournament Week. Admission to Mission Hills Country Club on Monday, March 29, is free. Tickets will also be on sale through Tournament Week at Lumpy’s in Cathedral City and La Quinta.
