Irracionalidad legal

Cosas extremas están pasando. El senado de Canadá aprobó la ley C-4 que prohíbe todo tipo de ayuda a una persona (niños incluidos) que tiene atracción por el mismo sexo y busca recuperar su atracción sexual original. El que los ayude podría ir 5 años a la cárcel. En México, el Congreso de Baja California estableció que es legal cambiar la identidad original de una persona, en su acta de nacimiento, por la fantasía subjetiva que tenga. Cualquier postura contraria será penalizada.
Está claro que la subjetividad no es mala en sí misma, pero ¿podremos sobrevivir como sociedad legalizando e imponiendo irracionalmente los sentimientos sobre la verdad objetiva?
La identidad de las personas no es el resultado de sentimientos o “autopercepción”. La identidad comprende las características innatas, biológicas, genéticas, cromosómicas, etc. de las personas, que las hacen únicas e irrepetibles. Estas características son evidentes, verificables, preexistentes desde la concepción y permanecen después de la muerte. Reafirmar condescendientemente el “relato del sujeto” sólo agudiza su confusión.
Al nacer no se “asigna” lo que vamos a ser, al nacer se RECONOCE lo que ya somos. El que yo me sienta gato, perro, pony, sirena, serpiente, extraterrestre, lisiado (siendo sano), flaco (siendo gordo), mujer (siendo hombre), etc. no significa que, por arte de magia, me convertí en uno. Significa que tengo un problema de identidad.
Y lo que necesito no es que por “amor”, “respeto” o “lástima”, reafirmen ese sentimiento. Necesito que me ayuden a entender la verdad.
Por supuesto, no se puede estigmatizar a nadie por sus gustos sexuales. Estamos en contra de todo tipo de agresión y reafirmamos el respeto por las personas. Pero, para evitar la violencia, no necesitamos mentir. Todo lo contrario, necesitamos basarnos en la verdad. No pueden coaccionarnos a ser cómplices de los sentimientos de nadie, ni menos a apoyarlos.
Lo que existe son hombres y mujeres, humanos masculinos y femeninos. Esa es la realidad, nos agrade o no. Tu diseño original de varón o mujer impone tu identidad. Lo único que puedes hacer es “descubrir” lo que siempre fuiste, nunca lo que no eres. Mil operaciones pueden cambiar tu apariencia, pero nunca tu realidad. El cuerpo no cambia la mente.
Amar a la gente auténticamente implica, entonces, decirle la verdad que la libera, por fuerte que sea, no la mentira que la esclaviza. Las leyes que legalizan la irracionalidad hacen lo contrario. Sólo perpetúan el dolor.

 

Extreme things are happening. The Canadian Senate passed Bill C-4 which prohibits any kind of assistance to a person (including children) who has same-sex attraction and seeks to regain their original sexual attraction. Whoever helps them could go to jail for 5 years. In Mexico, the Congress of Baja California established that it is legal to change the original identity of a person, in their birth certificate, for the subjective fantasy they have. Any contrary position will be penalized.
It is clear that subjectivity is not bad in itself, but can we survive as a society by irrationally legalizing and imposing sentiments over objective truth?
People’s identity is not the result of feelings or “self-perception”. Identity includes innate, biological, genetic, chromosomal, etc., characteristics. of people, which make them unique and unrepeatable. These characteristics are evident, verifiable, pre-existing from conception and remain after death. Condescendingly reaffirming the “subject’s story” only deepens their confusion.
At birth what we are going to be is not “assigned”, at birth we RECOGNIZE what we already are. The fact that I feel cat, dog, pony, mermaid, snake, alien, crippled (being healthy), skinny (being fat), woman (being man), etc. It doesn’t mean that I magically became one. It means I have an identity problem.
And what I need is not for “love”, “respect” or “pity”, to reaffirm that feeling. I need you to help me understand the truth.
Of course, no one can be stigmatized for their sexual tastes. We are against all kinds of aggression and we reaffirm respect for people. But, to avoid violence, we don’t need to lie. On the contrary, we need to base ourselves on the truth. They cannot coerce us into being complicit in anyone’s feelings, much less supporting them.
What exists are men and women, male and female humans. That is the reality, whether we like it or not. Your original male or female design imposes your identity. The only thing you can do is “discover” what you always were, never what you are not. A thousand operations can change your appearance, but never your reality. The body does not change the mind.
Loving people authentically implies, then, telling them the truth that sets them free, however strong it may be, not the lie that enslaves them. The laws that legalize irrationality do the opposite. They only perpetuate the pain.
