Immigration Reform

When it comes to immigration, the majority of the nation is held captive in a false bubble of understanding. Confusing the issue is the fact immigration is a grape cluster of issues, joined yet separate. Personal safety, Security, terrorism, employment, lifestyle, politics, socialism, naïveté, religion, education, language, are only a fraction of the hard issues surrounding the catch phrase “immigration”. Creating havoc is the fact millions of immigrants arrive not to conform to the American lifestyle but rather to recreate who they were before they migrated to America. Insistent, sometimes violent immigrant aggressors arrive to change our way of life, culture, religion, laws, the demeaning of women as rewarding in the eyes of their God and financially reap benefits paid by the legal citizen taxpayers. These undesirables currently make up a fraction of the millions of undocumented but our current government complicit policy of turning a blind eye, invalidating our constitution predisposes all legal American citizens to become vulnerable to every cluster issue being created. Antagonizing the problem is the fact we do not know who the undocumented are or where they are within our country. As legal Americans, we foot the bill. The government does not earn wealth, they spend ours. They have become superbly accommodating at spending our money and making us feel guilty for not giving it all.
Those who dare to expose the exacerbating, mounting problem of having 12 to 15 million undocumented in the United States within our population are quickly labeled as bigots who accept discrimination, subtle, diffused or direct. Our current government leaderships acceptance of illegality, is their search of a political vote bonanza. Democrat politicians band together to compel their vision on America. Their vision, quite simply condones open borders. Any opposition defines you as a racist. The immigration reform needed has become a political football with constantly shifting goal posts. Democrats cherish the issue and want blanket amnesty with the right to vote as the underpinnings of any immigration bill. Republicans rightfully fear losing all political control from one election to the next. They are resistant to bequeathing the doling out of American freedoms and democracy to a political party who cannot articulate the difference between a socialist and a democrat. As witnessed on national television, Debbie Wassermann Schultz, Democrat National Party Chairperson, stumbled, fumbled and changed the subject unable to answer the direct question.
When it comes to strengthening legal immigration, there is a penchant for word play. There is a consistent problem with mostly nonsensical solutions. Deporting 12 million people legally is logistically improbable in our life time. Constitutional amendments and court challenges are decades in the making. Citing interpretations of the 14th Amendment is a waste of time when action is required NOW. Courts have ruled on birth right citizenship and there is no probability of a reversal.
Laws already exist to deal with immigration. Our national problem is compounded by our leaders who side step the law, waffle, duck responsibility and endanger our nation through dereliction of duty and questionable allegiance. Party or nation? The real solution begins with 1) securing our border 2) make legal immigration easier than illegal immigration. The current 14 year average for legal immigration is ludicrous, an open invitation to violate the law. 3) Begin a massive campaign to require every undocumented to register, finger print and start the legal process. 4) Get rid of sanctuary cities, impose stifling economic penalties for violations. 5) the un-appealable penalty for non compliance to register would be immediate deportation upon being caught, period.
The current Trump solution “ deport them all” must be seen through the eyes of an astute billionaire businessman, not a politician. Trump is a tough negotiator. He starts high to negotiate his position and ultimately accomplish exactly what he was aiming for.
