FANTASY SPRINGS RESORT CASINO AND THE CITY OF INDIO ANNOUNCE CONTINUED THREE YEAR PARTNERSHIP FOR THE INDIO INTERNATIONAL TAMALE FESTIVAL
In celebration of the continuing partnership between Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and the City of Indio and the 20th Annual Indio International Tamale Festival, City of Indio Mayor Lupe Ramos Watson announced a new 3 year deal for the continued support of the upcoming Indio International Tamale Festival and the local community. In honor of Fantasy Springs Resort Casino’s support since 1992, Mayor Lupe Ramos Watson presented a certificate of recognition to Paul Ryan, General Manager of Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
Joining Mayor Lupe Ramos Watson and General Manager Paul Ryan was Mayor Pro Tem Glenn Miller, Fantasy Springs Resort Casino Executive Chef Freddy Rieger, City of Indio Human Services Manager Jim Curtis, and two wonderful tamale vendors, Rincon Norteno and Louise’s Pantry. As an extra special surprise, those who attended were treated to delicious tamale’s provided by both vendors along with beverages and hors d’oeuvres
The Indio International Tamale Festival has been partnered with Fantasy Springs Resort Casino since 1999 and has been a tradition of the City of Indio since 1992. The festival will be taking place December 3rd and 4th and was featured on the Food Network in which it was ranked in the top 10 “All-American Food Festivals” in the nation.
