El Marrón es el Nuevo Negro

“Este país está condenado. Está condenado, no solo por los afroamericanos, sino porque en el 2040 este país será una minoría de blancos europeos. ¿Me oyes? Minoría de blancos europeos. Y ustedes, muchachos, tendrán que empezar a trabajar más con Hispanos, que constituirán una porción más grande de la población que ustedes,” palabras pronunciadas por el actual presidente Joe Biden de los Estados Unidos de América en una sala llena de líderes afroamericanos. El pueblo hispano puede aprender mucho de los negros que históricamente votaron a los demócratas. Las elecciones de 1960 estaban cerca y los derechos civiles eran el centro de atención de muchas minorías.
Días antes de que se llevara a cabo la votación mientras el Dr. Martin Luther King estaba en la cárcel, John F. Kennedy llamó a Coretta Scott King y le ofreció ayuda. Algunos dirían que marcó la diferencia para la comunidad negra, que los demócratas se preocuparon por sus necesidades. Ese parecía ser el libro de jugadas del partido en cada ciclo electoral. De alguna manera, han tocado los corazones de los barrios del centro de la ciudad casi al mismo tiempo que los necesitaban para votar. Lo único que el partido democrático ha hecho bien por las comunidades negras es asegurar sus votos. Su mensaje ha sido el mismo; igualdad, mejor educación para sus hijos, comunidades más seguras y trabajos mejor pagados. La verdad es que muchas comunidades que tienen alcaldes, superintendentes escolares y funcionarios electos liderados por los demócratas son algunas de las peores ciudades del país. Estáticamente en todos los ámbitos, los afroamericanos han tenido el peor resultado de la vida en los últimos 100 años, y continúan votando por las personas que les han dificultado la vida.
Es 2021 y marrón es el nuevo negro. Durante los últimos 70 años, el partido democrático ha centrado su elección en las comunidades negras. Sin embargo, el reciente censo de 2020 informó un cambio en la población. Los distritos hispanos se han convertido en el centro de atención. En un último empujón desesperado, la comunidad afroamericana hizo todo lo posible durante las elecciones de 2020. Black Lives Matter fue el empujón final para cobrar el pagaré de JFK. Biden fue elegido y los negros celebraron. Finalmente, ha llegado el momento. El movimiento fue mundial. El mundo entero estaba mirando.
Había poca gente cuando JFK hizo la famosa llamada, por lo que muchos negros no conocían el anzuelo democrático y el cambio. Cuando JFK fue elegido, se centró más en el espacio y menos en su promesa. Ahora, Biden ha seguido los pasos de JFK. A menudo he escuchado que se necesitan siete intentos para que alguien deje una relación abusiva. Desafortunadamente, la comunidad afroamericana nunca se fue. La comunidad negra estaba prosperando bajo el partido republicano. Es hora de que recordemos al Partido que puso a Dios, el país y la familia en primer lugar. Desafortunadamente, los negros olvidaron que los republicanos eran el partido formado para liberar a los esclavos. Si tan solo los negros hubieran recordado que a muchos de sus vecindarios les estaba yendo bien cuando históricamente votaron a los republicanos. Solo espero que los hispanos aprendan esto antes de que sea demasiado tarde, y se encuentren en las calles gritando Brown Lives Matter.

 

“This country is doomed. It is doomed, not just because of African Americans, but because by 2040 this country is going to be minority white European. Hear me? Minority white European. And you guys are going to have to start working more with Hispanics, who will make up a larger portion of the population than y’all do”—words spoken by the current President Joe Biden of the United States of America to a room full of African American leaders. The Hispanic people can learn a lot from the blacks historically voting democrat. The 1960 election was close, and civil rights were the focus of many minorities.
Days before the voting would take place while Dr. Martin Luther King sat in jail, John F. Kennedy called Coretta Scott King and offered help. Some would argue that it made the difference to the black community, that the democrats cared about their needs. That seemed to be the party’s playbook every election cycle. Somehow, they have touched the hearts of the inner-city neighborhoods around the same time they needed them to vote. The only thing the democratic party has done well for black communities is to secure their votes. Their message has been the same; equality, better education for your children, safer communities, and better-paying jobs. The truth is many communities that have Democratic-led mayors, school superintendents, and elected officials are some of the nation’s worse cities. Statically across the board African Americans have had the worse outcome of life in the past 100 years, and they continue to vote for the people who have made it harder for them to live.
It’s 2021, and Brown is the new black. During the last 70 years, the democratic party has spent its election focus on black communities. However, the recent 2020 census has reported a shift in population. Hispanic districts have become the focus. In a final desperate push, the African American community went all in during the 2020 elections. Black Lives Matter were the final push to cash the promissory note of JFK. Biden was elected, and blacks celebrated. Finally, the time has come. The movement was worldwide. The whole world was watching.
Few people were around when JFK made the famous call, so many blacks didn’t know of the democratic bait and switch. When JFK was elected, he focused more on space and less on his promise. Now, Biden has followed in JFK’s footsteps. I’ve often heard it takes seven-times for someone to leave an abusive relationship. Unfortunately, the African American community never left. The black community was thriving under the Republican party. It’s time we remember the party that put God, country, and family first. Unfortunately, blacks forgot that the republicans were the party formed to free the slaves. If only black people had remembered that many of their neighborhoods were doing well when they historically voted republican. I only hope the Hispanics learn this before it’s too late, and they find themselves in the streets yelling Brown Lives Matter.
