East Valley Republican Women Federated Honors Scholarship Recipients

The East Valley Republican Women came together on Monday with a great well attended event; nine young women were honored and presented scholarships for continued education. Each student was given $750 for initial out of pocket start up expenses. Mary Helen Kelly served as the officer in charge and master of ceremonies at the event. Lupe Ramos Watson representing Assemblyman Brian Nestande’s office presented certificates of recognition to the students.
Students honored and pictured with Lupe Ramos Watson were: Yazmin Franco-Coachella Valley High School, Danielle Ducatte-Desert Christian Academy, Gabriela Ceja-Desert Mirage High School, Damaris Zatarain-Indio High School, Alleman Zeck-Palm Desert High School, Shannon Soran-Shadow Hills High School, Shamara Valdez-Xavier College Preparatory High School.
Two winners not able to attend were Stephanie Gagnon and Elizabeth Stowe-La Quinta High School, they were represented by parents Robert Gagnon and Tami Stowe.
