The DSUSD Board introduced Sharon McGehee, PhD., to the community on Tuesday. McGehee greeted a continuous stream of community leaders, parents and staff, accompanied by her husband Darrell . She shook many hands and took in countless anecdotes, commentaries and good wishes. McGehee arrives here with 29 years of educational experience including the past seven years as the Ontario-Montclair Elementary School District superintendent .

Many greeters expressed their sadness in seeing Doris Wilson, PhD., retire and pledged their support to McGehee. School Board members commented that they see her and her experience with elementary schools arriving at a crucial time with a booming student population. McGehee who oversaw 33 elementary schools has a reputation of doing a lot with very little and looks forward to the challenges ahead.
