DORIS WILSON SUPERINTENDENT, DSUSD HONORED AT RETIREMENT FEST

Doris Wilson, PhD., was honored at a retirement get together put on by the Desert Sands Unified School District Board. Community leaders, Mayors, City Managers, City Councilpersons, DSUSD staff and members of the community attended to bid farewell to the very well liked superintendent.

Many civic organizations took the opportunity to present School Superintendent Wilson with plaques expressing gratitude.

Wilson will retire after ten years on the job locally and an entire career in education. The community was well served by Wilson and she will be missed. One board member was overheard stating that the DSUSD Board had done a superb job in selecting Doris Wilson after some tumultuous years with previous selections.

The entire staff and the community wish her well in retirement and will welcome her input in any leadership or advisory capacity.
