¿Cómo Puedo Saber si Gané la Lotería de Visas 2024?

El Departamento de Estado informó que sólo a través de su página oficial se darán a conocer los resultados del sorteo “Visas de Diversidad 2024”; se espera que 55 mil inmigrantes obtengan una Green Card

Este sábado 6 de mayo el Centro Nacional de Visas del Departamento de Estado (DOS) dará a conocer los nombres de los ganadores del sorteo de lotería de visas 2024 que lleva por nombre “Visas de Diversidad 2024”, así lo dio a conocer a través de sus redes sociales.
“¡Ya casi es hora de las selecciones de Diversity Visa 2024! A partir del 6 de mayo de 2023 a las 12 p.m. EDT, podrá verificar el estado de su entrada ingresando su número de confirmación en http://dvprogram.state.gov. Esta es la única forma de revisar si ha sido seleccionado para participar”, escribieron en Twitter.
• Contar con un número de confirmación de 16 dígitos que vine mezclado entre letras y números que se proporcionó el día de la inscripción
• Nombre y apellido del participante
• Año de nacimiento
Estos datos deberán coincidir con los que se proporcionaron el día de la inscripción.

¿Qué debo hacer si resulto ganador?
En caso de ser parte de los ganadores de la lotería de visas 2024, los solicitantes recibirán un paquete con instrucciones precisas para continuar con la segunda parte de selección del sorteo y deberán ingresar al link https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx para llenar el formulario DS-260 para solicitar una visa de inmigrante.
Más tarde, el solicitante recibirá un correo electrónico que le indicará una fecha de entrevista con la embajada donde se aprobará o denegará la visa.
Cada año Estados Unidos otorga 55,000 residencias permanentes gracias a un proceso de selección al azar.
Las residencias serán otorgadas durante el año fiscal 2024, que arranca el 1 de octubre de este año y finaliza el 30 de septiembre del año entrante, informó DOS.
De acuerdo con el Centro Nacional de Visas del Departamento de Estado, las visas se distribuyen por regiones: África, Asia, América del Norte, Oceanía, América del Sur, América Central y el Caribe, pero, para este sorteo, quedó fuera Brasil, Colombia, El Salvador, Haití, Honduras, Jamaica, México, la República Dominicana y Venezuela.

This Saturday, May 6, the National Visa Center of the Department of State (DOS) will announce the names of the winners of the 2024 visa lottery draw that is called “Diversity Visas 2024”, as it was announced through of their social networks.
“It’s almost time for the 2024 Diversity Visa selections! Starting May 6, 2023 at 12 p.m. EDT, you will be able to check the status of your entry by entering your confirmation number at http://dvprogram.state.gov. This is the only way to check if you have been selected to participate,” they wrote on Twitter.
• Have a 16-digit confirmation number that came mixed between letters and numbers that was provided on the day of registration
• First and last name of the participant
• Year of birth
These data must coincide with those provided on the day of registration.

What should i do if am i the winner?
In case of being part of the 2024 visa lottery winners, applicants will receive a package with precise instructions to continue with the second part of the draw selection and must enter the link https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx to fill out the DS-260 form to apply for an immigrant visa.
Later, the applicant will receive an email indicating an interview date with the embassy where the visa will be approved or denied.
Each year the United States grants 55,000 permanent residences thanks to a random selection process. The residences will be granted during fiscal year 2024, which starts on October 1 of this year and ends on September 30 of next year, reported DOS.
