Coachella Valley Rescue Mission
What an incredible, fun filled, adrenaline producing day! Families were in line at 3 am with their children waiting for the door to open to meet Santa at 9 a.m. and for the opportunity to choose two new toys each.
The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission provided toys for well over 5000 children with the generosity of donors through toy drives throughout the valley; plus many thousands of toys were brought in by individuals who heard of our desire to bless children and came with trucks, vans, and cars filled to capacity.
We were still collecting toys in the back while the volunteers were giving toys out at the front. We are always amazed at the outpouring of love and generosity and we truly want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our donors, volunteers, community organizers, businesses, and to the staff of CVRM for a job well done.
The John Linn band came and entertained those waiting in line which added to festive mood. Thank you very much for donating your time and talent.
Christmas is the time of year that we remember the greatest gift of all which God gave to mankind, Jesus his only son.
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Luke 2:13-14
