COACHELLA VALLEY MUSEUM EXHIBITS JAPANESE CULTURE AKI MATSURI BRINGS THOUSANDS OF VISITORS

The all day November 10th exhibits featured Taiko performances, lessons on drums, Ondo,-Japanese dancing, Koto-Japanese instrument performance, Kendo-Japanese sport fencing, Martial arts, author-Joyce Hirohata with her book “Nesie Voices” and the movie Farewell to Manzanar” a little girls recollections of a concentration camp. This is a partial list of the program which brought thousands of visitors to taste the Japanese tofu tostadas and other delicacies. The Museum issued a “Thank you” to all the friends and sponsors who made the exhibit possible.
