    SACRAMENTO—Today, Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia (R-Cathedral City) announced a $1.5 million grant was given to the Riverside County Redevelopment Agency by the Department of Housing and Community Development to help displaced farmworkers purchase new mobile homes.

    The funds come from the Joe Serna, Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant Program (Serna Farmworker Program) and will help approximately 100 families with down payment assistance for the purchase of new mobile homes.
