Bono Mack Attends Indio Senior Center Grand Opening
Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) participated in the Grand Opening event on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009.
The Indio Senior Center Grand Opening, celebrated a new 16,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility that will serve the needs of local seniors in the Indio community.
The Indio Senior Center has been relocated to 45-700 Aladdin St., in Indio, Ca. The facility has been anticipated for many years and took many years and organizational planning to accomplish. Thanks to the current Indio city leadership and a lot of hard work from volunteers, the Indio Senior Center has become a reality.
The Indio Senior Center is one of the busiest centers of the Coachella Valley and offers a variety of recreational opportunities as well and a great group of individuals to spend time with. Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack has been a strong supporter of the facility and was very pleased to be part of their opening ceremonies. Congresswoman Mack stressed the great importance of serving our senior population and reminded everyone of the open door policy she has to listen to any comments from any of her constituents and to make every effort to address their needs. The Congresswoman was very well received and was a key ingredient in making this a very special occasion for many seniors present.
