Author Aimee Bender Gives Lecture at UCR Palm Desert on April 4 at 6 p.m.


Aimee Bender, author of “The Girl in a Flammable Skirt,” “Willful Creatures” and “A Sign of My Own,” will give a reading on Saturday April 4 at 6 p.m. as part of the MFA Literary & Performing Artists Studio series at the UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center, 75-080 Frank Sinatra Drive, Palm Desert.

Bender’s short fiction has been published in Tin House, Granta, the Paris Review, Harper’s, and more, as well as anthologized in Best American Non Required Reading, Best American Fantasy and the Pushcart Prize Anthologies. She lives in Los Angeles, California and teaches writing at USC.

After the reading, Bender will take to the stage with Tod Goldberg, administrative director of the MFA Program, for a conversation with the author to discuss her craft and books.
