Asambleísta Eduardo García Ordena Boicotear Reunión Informativa de Padres Referente a la AB 329

El martes 4 de junio, decenas de padres de familia se reunieron en el Centro Comunitario de Heber para una Reunión Informativa presentada por America Figueroa, madre de familia y vocera Hispana del Grupo Padres Informados de California.
El tiempo de preguntas y respuestas, fue saboteado por la señora Stella Jimenes, directora de distrito del Asambleísta Eduardo García, quien se presentó en calidad de representante de él, no como madre de familia, y con una actitud bastante prepotente confronto a los padres, los cuales le pedían que se callara y se fuera, ya que nadie la había invitado; sin embargo ella continuaba insultando a los padres y diciéndoles que el estado tenia que intervenir en la educación de sus hijos, porque ellos no se preocupaban y nunca asistían a las reuniones escolares como ella.
La señora Jiménez trato de desmentir la información presentada, alegando que el Condado de Imperial es un condado bastante conservador y por lo tanto nada de lo que se presentó ahí, seria usado en ninguna escuela del condado. Es vergonzoso que una representante del Asambleísta que voto a favor de la ley AB 329, ni siquiera conozca lo que la ley en si contiene, ya que ella insistía en que la ley además de Educación Sexual Integral y VIH, cubre aspectos sobre nutrición, obesidad infantil, educación física, y prevención de bully. Desafortunadamente, ninguno de los Capítulos ni Artículos de la AB 329 menciona alguno de los temas que la señora Jiménez alegaba.
America Figueroa hablo acerca del material que Calexico Unified esta utilizando para impartir educación sexual integral, el cual se llama “Cuídate,” y está dirigido a jóvenes Latinos de 13 a 18 años, y que el Asambleísta confirmo el viernes 7 de junio durante una manifestación pacifica hecha por padres en su oficina de Imperial, será utilizado por TODAS las escuelas del Condado de Imperial.
Una vez más, la señora Jiménez demostró su ignorancia al alegar que Cuídate no incluye ninguno de los 7 puntos consistentes con todos los currículos: Orientación Sexual e Identidad de Género; Tipos de Contacto Sexual; Abstinencia, Masturbación, Anticonceptivos, Aborto y Adopción; Métodos de Barrera y Lubricantes; Habilidades de Negociación; Actuar situaciones; Derechos Sexuales y reproductivos.
Estas son algunas citas extraídas directamente del Manual del Instructor del currículo “Cuídate”:
“Mientras que los condones lubricados son mejores para sexo vaginal y anal, se recomiendan condones no lubricados para el sexo oral, porque a mucha gente no le gusta el sabor del lubricante.” (Pág. 1.30)
“Actividades de sexo seguro que no poseen riesgo de embarazo o transmisión de enfermedades sexuales: besos mojados, fantasías sexuales, frotarse el cuerpo, estimulación sexual manual de ti mismo.” (Pág. 4.26)
“Utilizar un lubricante a base de agua aumenta el placer en ambos.” (Pág. 5.9)
“Escenario Actuado: Tú y tu pareja han estado saliendo por dos meses, al principio se besaban y tocaban un poco. Hoy…empezaron a besarse y a tocarse y se siente muy bien.” (Pág. 6.23)
“Escenario Actuado: La meta es que Alex convenza a Mark de las razones buenas para usar condón durante el sexo.” (Pág. 6.31)
“Objetivos de Aprendizaje: Identificar formas de hacer los condones una parte mas placentera de la experiencia sexual.” (Pág. 5.1)
El Facilitador utiliza un modelo de un pene para demostrar cada paso del uso del condón y anima a los estudiantes a practicar. (Pág. 5.6)
“Todos los servicios médicos que puedes recibir son confidenciales…clínicas te pueden ver sin el permiso de tus padres…” (Pág. D.14)
Aunque el material que Imperial escogió no es ninguno de los 6 currículos aprobados por el estado, es bastante consistente con los otros en cuanto al contenido, si acaso difiere solo un poco en cuanto a la inclusividad, ya que este no presenta el espectro de género, solo las relaciones homosexuales y bisexuales. La pregunta que queda para el Asambleísta es: ¿De verdad espera que le creamos que el Condado de Imperial estará exento de sujetarse a una Ley Estatal como la AB 329? ¿Acaso piensa usted declararlo Condado Santuario? Porque de ser así, debería comenzar por desechar el currículo Cuídate, ya que contiene la misma perversión que los demás.

 

On Tuesday June 4th, tenths of parents gathered at Heber Community Center for an informative meeting presented by America Figueroa, a mother and Hispanic Spokesperson for the Statewide Group Informed Parents of California.
The Q&A time was sabotaged by Mrs. Stella Jimenez, district director for Assemblymember Eduardo García, who showed up introducing herself as his representative, not as a mother, but with a prepotent attitude, she confronted the parents, who were asking her to shut up and leave, since nobody had invited her, but nevertheless she kept insulting parents and telling them that the State had to intervene in their children’s education, because they didn’t care and never attended school meetings like she did.
Mrs. Jimenez tried to deny the information presented, alleging that Imperial County is a very conservative County and for that reason, nothing of what was presented would be used at any school within the County. It’s a shame that a representative of the Assemblymember who voted in favor of AB 329, doesn’t even know what’s in the law, since she kept insisting that besides Comprehensive Sexual Education and HIV Prevention, it covers aspects on nutrition, child obesity, physical education, and bullying prevention. Unfortunately, none of AB 329’s Chapters and Articles, mentions any of the subjects Mrs. Jimenez argued.
America Figueroa spoke about the material Calexico Unified is using to teach comprehensive sexual education, which is called “Cuídate” (take care of yourself), and targets Latino youth ages 13 to 18 years old, and which the Assemblymember confirmed on Friday June 7th, during a peaceful rally outside his Imperial office organized by parents, that it will be used by ALL schools in the Imperial County.
Once again, Mrs. Jimenez showed her ignorance by alleging that Cuídate does not include any of the 7 key points consistent throughout all CSE curriculums: Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity; Types of Sexual Contact; Abstinence, Masturbation, Contraceptives, Abortion and Adoption; Barrier Methods and Lubricants; Negotiation Skills; Role Playing; Sexual and Reproductive Rights.
These are some quotes from the Cuidate Instructor’s Manual:
“While lubricated latex condoms are best for vaginal and anal sex, non-lubricated condoms recommended for oral sex because many people do not like the taste of the lubrication.” (Pg. 1.30)
“Safer sex activities that pose no risk of pregnancy or transferring STDs: Wet kissing, sexual fantasy, body rubbing/grinding, manual sexual stimulation of yourself.” (Pg. 4.26)
“Using a water-based lubricant increases the pleasure for both partners.” (Pg. 5.9)
“Role Play A: You and your partner have been seeing each other for two months. In the beginning you kissed a Little and touched. Today…you begin touching and kissing and it feels really good.” (Pg. 6.23)
“Role-Play G: The goal of this role-play is for Alex to convince Mark of the many Good reasons to use condoms when having sex.” (Pg. 6.31)
“Learning Objectives: Identify ways to make condoms a more pleasurable part of the sexual experience.” (Pg. 5.1)
Facilitator uses a penis model to demonstrate each step of condom use. (Pg. 5.6)
“All medical care you receive should be confidential…clinics will see you without your parents’ permission…” (Pg. D.14)
Even though the material Imperial chose is neither of the 6 state-approved curriculums, it is very consistent with them in regards to content, if anything it differs slightly in regards to inclusivity, since this one does not present the gender spectrum, only homosexual and bisexual relationships. The question that remains for the Assemblymember is: Do you really expect the people to believe that Imperial County will be exempt from submitting to State Law AB 329? Are you considering declaring it a sanctuary County? Because if that is the case, you should start by throwing away the Cuidate curriculum, since it contains the same type of perversion as the other 6.
