Another Bill Attempting to Strip Off More Liberties

On May 28th, the State Assembly passed AB 493. It was Authored by Democrat Assemblymember Todd Gloria of San Diego, and Co Authored by Assemblymembers Cervantes, Eggman, Low, O’Donnell, and Senators Galgiani and Weiner. If passed, it will affect ALL CA Public and Charter Schools.
The Bill is now at the Senate Education Committee. If it becomes a law, it will force all 7th-12th grade teachers and Classified employees at their school, to take LGBT sensitivity training every two years, which not only will violate many of those teachers’ religious liberties, personal values and moral principles, but it will add more to the indoctrination already happening in our classrooms.
When this Bill was presented to the Appropriations Committee on 5/16/19, Democrat Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia voted in favor of it. When it arrived at the Assembly Floor, he abstained from voting, which we appreciate, but it would be better if he had actually chosen a side and voted against it.
As for Republican Assemblymember Chad Mayes, a so-called “Conservative,” he voted in favor of forcing these trainings on teachers and classified employees. In 2017, he endorsed Harvey Milk’s day, so we should ask him where he really stands regarding moral issues.
Pastors and parents throughout the State are rallying at their legislators’ offices every Friday from 4PM to 6PM. If they voted in favor of laws such as AB 329, which brought all the SeXXX Education into schools, they rally to make them accountable for it; and if they voted against it, they ask them to stand up in protection of our children, and those teachers with strong convictions.

EL 28 de mayo, la Asamblea Estatal aprobó la AB 493. Escrita por el Asambleísta Demócrata Todd Gloria de San Diego, y Co Escrita por los Asambleístas Cervantes, Eggman, Low, O’Donnell, y los Senadores Galgiani y Weiner. Si esto se aprueba, afectara a TODAS las escuelas públicas y Chárter de CA.
La propuesta está ahora en el Comité de Educación del Senado. Si se convierte en ley, forzara a los maestros y empleados de secundaria y preparatoria, a recibir capacitación de sensibilidad al LGBT cada dos años, lo cual no solo violaría las libertades religiosas, valores personales y principios morales de muchos maestros, sino que añadiría aún más al adoctrinamiento actual en las aulas.
Cuando la propuesta fue presentada al Comité de Apropiaciones el 16 de mayo, el Asambleísta Eduardo García voto a favor; cuando llego al piso de la Asamblea, él se abstuvo de votar, lo cual agradecemos, pero hubiera sido mejor que hubiera escogido un lado, y votara en contra.
El Asambleísta Republicano Chad Mayes, dizque “Conservador,” voto a favor de obligar a los maestros y empleados a esas capacitaciones. En el 2017, el endorso el día de Harvey Milk, así que le deberíamos preguntar realmente de qué lado esta en cuanto a asuntos morales.
Pastores y padres a través del estado se están manifestando en las oficinas de sus legisladores estatales cada viernes de 4PM a 6PM. Si votaron a favor de leyes como la AB 329 que trajo toda la Educación SeXXXual a las escuelas, para responsabilizarlos, si votaron en contra, para preguntarles su posición sobre la protección de nuestros hijos y los maestros con convicciones fuertes.
