A Palm Springs Tradition, There Is Nothing Like Dinner in the Canyons

On Saturday, October 13, the annual Dinner in the Canyons gala fundraiser to benefit the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum will be held in the historic Andreas Canyon. Against the background of this cultural treasure unique to Palm Springs, the evening will feature Native-inspired cuisine and entertainment under the stars.

The Andreas Canyon location never fails to dazzle guests with its breathtaking sunset views of the Coachella Valley below, and the towering palms against the clear evening sky.

Proceeds of Dinner in the Canyons help fund the Museum’s exhibitions and educational programs for schoolchildren and adults. Agua Caliente Cultural Museum is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization.

Executive Director Michael Hammond said of the evening, “From the wine and the flowers to the entertainment and even the meal itself, guests at Dinner in the Canyons will enjoy this wonderful Native experience.”

Renona Pennington and Corinne Siva, honored members of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, are the Co-Chairs for Dinner in the Canyons 2007.

Dinner in the Canyons will begin at 5:30PM with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner at 6:30 PM. Advance reservations are required. Space is limited; and the event is usually an early sellout. Phone inquires for information should be directed to the Agua Caliente

Cultural Museum Development Department at 760-778-1079, Ext. 111.
